Sandy is finally over.  After a grueling few days of being locked in, blocked out, and fretting over the rising water levels, streets have drained and clean up can begin.  Thankfully, Fitzpatrick’s survived without any damage.  But many we know, friends, family, and businesses have sustained extensive – even catastrophic damage – after this superstorm.

It’s time to start pulling ourselves back together piece by piece – or rather, board by board – so we can restore our stunning beaches and vibrant community above and beyond it’s former beauty.

To volunteer in the NJ area call the New Jersey Volunteer Emergency Response Hotline at 1-800-JERSEY-7 (1-800-537-7397) to register or send an email to [email protected].  This office will be working with The NJ Office of Volunteerism and NJ AmeriCorps to place volunteers based on their abilities.

Volunteers can also contact the Red Cross to become a Disaster Volunteer.
